HHI Windows and Doors started in 2010 as Holliday Home Improvements and has been locally owned and family-operated ever since. Over the years, HHI Windows and Doors has built a strong reputation for providing quality windows and doors, and professional installation services.
Meet Richard Barron – Owner of HHI Windows and Doors
Richard Barron, the owner of HHI Windows and Doors, moved to Hilton Head permanently in 2022, but his connection to the Lowcountry dates back over 40 years. His first visit to Hilton Head was in 1982 during a family vacation, a tradition that has continued ever since.
Richard’s professional background includes a successful 30+ year career in college athletics, serving as a Division 1 head basketball coach at Princeton, Baylor, NC State, and Maine. A Kenyon College graduate, he played basketball and baseball, earning a Biology degree cum laude.
His wife, Maureen, also has an impressive background, having been the head softball coach at Princeton following her standout career as a College World Series ace pitcher. Their twin daughters, Lane and Rae, now play softball at Swarthmore College, while their son, Billy, is a senior at Hilton Head Prep, where he and Richard (as coach) are working toward their third straight state championship.
When he’s not working on expanding HHI Windows and Doors, Richard enjoys fishing in Calibogue Sound, coaching basketball, and playing guitar at Providence Presbyterian Church.
